Bombataz

On the 30th of October 2020 the debut album ‘Olympics of Love’ of Bombataz, the Brussels post-jazz pop quartet, was released on cloudshaper label.

Bombataz was born when conservatory students Vitja Pauwels (guitar, voice), Hendrik Lasure (keyboards), Ruben De Maesschalck (bass) and Casper Van De Velde (drums) discovered that their common love for music is not limited to jazz, but to literally all genres. Their first EP '¡Kapao!' was released in 2019 by Fake Records. That title stands for 'a kick in the face'. But peaceful, like a business card.

For their full album they developed a more mature sound. They draw inspiration from artists like Prince and Fleedwood Mac to Hudson Mohawke and Cocteau Twins. Expect positive vibes with weird twists and occasional tear-jerking...

Last year Bombataz got awarded ‘Most Promising Artist’ by Redbull Elektropedia.
