These artists have their permanent workspace under our roof and are the beating heart of Volta.
At Volta, you will find more than 20 studios. 5 of these studios Volta dedicates to artists who have the need for their own space.
Through a wide selection, these spaces are offered to artists who are at a turning point within their career where a permanent space is a necessity to carry their artistic development and practice as smoothly and widely as possible.
A fixed space at Volta comes in two sizes and prizes:
- 25m2 : €400 p/month
- 35m2 : €500 p/month
Casper Van De Velde
One of Belgium's highest acclaimed drummers Casper Van De Velde is known for his work with schntzl, Donder and Bombataz. His solo project 'Simba' is a collection of soothing, melodic songs in a cozy and dreamy world.
Willem Malfliet
Willem Malfliet is a Brussel Based producer and musicians active in multiple projects and bands such as Woolvs and Bodem.
Lander Gyselinck
Lander Gyselinck, known as the drummer of STUFF., BeraadGeslagen, LABtrio and a zip line of other jazz-related projects likes to venture into experimental territories, usually with one leg in improvisation and the other in electronics.
Bandler Ching
Bandler Ching captures the musical ideas of Ambroos, Olivier & Federico. As their ideas fluctuate between all kinds of genres, they tend to describe it as honest music.
Vitja Pauwels
Anyone who has dived into the liner notes of (Belgian) albums knows that Brussels multi-instrumentalist Vitja Pauwels has certainly not been idle in recent years.
ECHT!
ECHT! is a band from Brussels. Inspired by the concepts that you can find in electronic music and effects of musical production, they steal those languages and apply them to their music.
Lander & Adriaan
Volta-resident and Brussels based drummer-artist Lander Gyselinck (Hihats In Trees/BeraadGeslagen/STUFF.) teamed up with Antwerp’s finest of the finest of keywizards, Adriaan Van de Velde (Pomrad/J. Bernard).

For their debut EP, ‘Dansu’ Belgian-Japanese artist Aili Maruyama and ‘Transistorcake’ Orson Wouters joined forces.
Noa Lee
Noa Lee is a Belgian indie-pop band, led by songwriter/singer/pianist Nina Kortekaas.
Soet Kempeneer
Bassist Soet Kempeneer is part of the new and promising scene of Belgian jazz musicians. Maybe you have already seen him live with Hendrik Lasure's Warm Bad or in duo with singer/pianist Nina Kortekaas.
schntzl
The jazz duo SCHNTZL, consisting of pianist Hendrik Lasure and drummer Casper Van De Velde, combines jazz with electronics. Their minimalistic and filmic music reminds one of Philip Glass and GoGO Penguin, Pierre Bastien or Hudson Mohawke.
Aiko Devriendt
With a background in both jazz as classical music and a passion for the diverse and in-depth sounds of objects and instruments in particular, Aiko’s compositions and productions long for a connection to deeper relations to the matter at hand.

Beneath its mechanical façade, Jean-Paul Groove's music owes nothing to machines or computers.
