An unknown instrument, an unexpected discovery and a sound that refuses to fit into a box. Jérémy Ragheb brings the khaen — a traditional Southeast Asian mouth organ — into completely new territory.

After discovering the instrument on TikTok in 2023, he taught himself how to play and turned the streets and hidden corners of Brussels into his own acoustic playground. One of his videos went viral, reaching over 15 million views and paving the way for his first EP, where he explores the warm, rhythmic and hypnotic possibilities of the khaen.

For the second part of the evening, Jérémy takes things a step further with JATA. Together with Temuulen Altangerel (guitar), Alessandro D’Amico (bass) and Antoine Périlleux (drums), he creates a world where khaen, vocals, keyboards and jazz fusion collide. Drawing inspiration from Japanese fusion of the 1970s and 80s, funk and the grooves of Jamiroquai, JATA delivers an explosive blend of virtuosity, playfulness and movement. A band that makes you dance as much as it makes you wonder.
