Bert Cools

Bert Cools, guitarist/soundcarving, is mainly active in the world of improvisation and electronic music. Plays concerts as a solo artist and composes for his own bands Merope, Hoera, Book of Air, the dance performance Come On Feet, made music for the Opera 'Vake Poes' and is often sideman with Sam Amidon, Efterklang and Trixie Whitley, among others.

In 2011 he started the art platform granvat.com together with Stijn Cools. With granvat, the Cools brothers find a space between folk, jazz and electronic music.  granvat produces several releases and events worldwide.
