Brecht Ameel
Brecht Ameel

Brecht Ameel is co-founder of the acoustic deep-listening collective Razen , an improv ensemble known for their unusual choice of medieval musical instruments. Solo Ameel chooses the timbre and reverb of the resonator guitar and mandolin, on which he gives free rein to his talents as a classically trained guitarist.

Already relying on a lot of craftsmanship and tons of perseverance, the young musician is always looking for his own musical language. After years of searching, digging and playing music non-stop,  Ameel produces a sound that crawls under the skin and succeeds in letting the instruments speak for themselves in his enchanting way.

Ameel lately created the soundtrack for 'Ghost Tropic' by Bas Devos,
the soundtrack  is out in the world via the excellent Hands In The Dark records.
