• ABOUT:
Come Hang started off as a creative experiment to use the ideals and methods of improvised music in a contemporary music production, an idea developed by Willem Malfliet in his 2020 VOLTA residency. Two years later, this concept is carried on within this philosophy in a broader application: it will be the name under which creative and performative activities within the realm of improvised and spontaneous music can find a place in VOLTA. It is also the name of a new concert series presenting improvising artists.

In this first edition, there will be four concerts. Next to this, Come Hang II, the second album, is released with a listening session and a documentary about the process, focusing on four of the musicians that worked on the album.

As ever-evolving in form as the music it represents, Come Hang will keep on being an invitation to relax, follow your ears, have a good time and meet beautiful people, in short: to come hang.

• COVID PROTOCOL:
At the door : show your ID + Covid Safe Ticket or a valid PCR negative test (72h max). Inside : No distancing. No mask required. Dancefloor open.
