Soet Kempeneer

Soet Kempeneer is a Belgian bassist and double bass player active in jazz, electronic and experimental music. He discovered the bass guitar at a young age and later turned to double bass, studying with musicians including Janos Bruneel and Wouter Berlaen. His musical work moves between electric bass, double bass, synthesizers and electronic textures. He has collaborated with artists such as João Lobo, Hendrik Lasure, Teun Verbruggen and Samuel Ber, and is part of the new generation of Belgian musicians exploring the boundaries between jazz, improvisation and contemporary sounds.
