BEX

BEX is an alt-pop project led by Belgian-American singer, songwriter and producer Rebecca Driesmans, based in Brussels. Her music brings together warm vocals, colourful electronic textures, jazz influences and pop, creating a sound that feels both intimate and spacious.

Rebecca’s musical background is rooted in jazz, while her love for electronic music plays an important role in the sound of BEX. The project moves between delicate, atmospheric moments and more expansive arrangements, with improvisation remaining an important part of the music.

BEX’s trio features Louise van den Heuvel on bass and Victor Khaddaj on drums and electronics. Together, they create a sound that sits somewhere between jazz and alternative pop, combining expressive vocals, electronic textures and a strong sense of musical interaction.

In 2024, BEX released their debut EP The Kitchen on the Polymoon label. The songs tell personal stories and explore different ways of dealing with difficult emotions, balancing darker themes with moments of warmth and absurdity.

BEX creates a musical space that is personal and immersive, where songwriting, improvisation and electronic sound come together naturally.
