Carla Biber

Carla Biber is a Belgian drummer, singer and producer based in Brussels. Coming from a jazz background, she trained at Conservatorium Maastricht and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where she developed her work as a drummer and composer.

Her musical world brings together modern jazz, pop, rock and contemporary music. Her influences are eclectic, ranging from Bill Stewart and The Cure to Charli XCX, and this mix can be heard in the way she combines dynamic grooves, melodic writing and more atmospheric moments.

As a drummer, Carla has been involved in different projects from the Brussels jazz and independent music scenes, including collaborations with artists such as Margaux Vranken and the band Oberbaum. She is also the drummer of Bruant, an instrumental trio that combines alternative rock, electronic textures and cinematic elements.

Alongside her work as a drummer, Carla has developed her own music as a singer, composer and producer. Her solo project explores a more pop-oriented sound, with songs that combine catchy melodies, electronic production and a personal approach to songwriting.

Carla Biber’s music sits somewhere between jazz, pop and alternative music. Her different influences come together naturally, with rhythm remaining an important part of the way she creates and expresses herself.
