Kuna Maze

Kuna Maze, whose real name is Édouard Gilbert, is a French producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist based in Brussels. Originally from the Paris region and raised in Auvergne, he started learning music at a young age before studying jazz trumpet at the conservatories of Lyon and Chambéry.

His musical journey gradually moved from jazz towards electronic music. Inspired by the Los Angeles beat scene, as well as hip-hop, broken beat and experimental music, Kuna Maze developed a sound where jazz remains an important foundation. His productions combine electronic textures, rhythmic grooves and melodic elements to create a distinctive atmosphere.

In Brussels, where he has been based since 2017, he developed his solo project while also collaborating with Nicolas Morant, aka Nikitch. Together, they released several projects before continuing to develop their individual careers.

As a solo artist, Kuna Maze has released projects including Débuts, Night Shift and Back & Forth. His music has also taken him to European stages and festivals, where he performs both live and as a DJ.

At the heart of Kuna Maze’s approach is the connection between jazz, electronic music and the dancefloor. Rather than fitting into a single genre, he uses different influences to build a sound that feels both musical and experimental, while keeping a strong sense of rhythm and movement.
