Lou K

LOU K is a Brussels-based artist. She creates French-language rock shaped by noise and post-punk, driven by writing that is sensitive, direct and abrasive. A painter, poet, singer and guitarist, drawing from punk, feminist and alternative culture, she builds music around distorted guitars, restless rhythms and an intense vocal presence.

Somewhere between the power of PJ Harvey, the electric rage of Patti Smith, the dissonance of Sonic Youth and the poetic strangeness of Klô Pelgag, LOU K creates her own universe, somewhere between vulnerability and anger.

Released in 2024, her debut album, L'Obscurité, moves between fierce folk, riot grrrl energy and rock tension. The record explores fears, feminism, social violence and inner monsters through writing that is raw, dark and driven by a genuine desire for emancipation and connection. Her deliberately intense and theatrical style transforms LOU K’s concerts into moments of rage, sharing and sisterhood.

On stage, LOU K creates a space of tension, transformation and liberation. Her visual universe extends the songs through a presence that is both theatrical and punk: spectral makeup, strange and colourful looks, hand-painted wedding dresses… She creates a hybrid figure, somewhere between a monstrous character and an opera icon, evoking both the strangeness of Björk and the raw energy of Kathleen Hanna or Lydia Lunch.

Her lyrics are sung, screamed, whispered and, above all, lived.
