Marta Frigo is an Italian singer, improviser and composer from Milan. Her musical world is built around an exploration of timbre, textures and atmospheres, where composition and improvisation naturally meet. Through her solo project, she develops a hybrid form of songwriting, combining her own lyrics with dreamy instrumental passages and immersive soundscapes that can feel delicate and sparse at times, and more intense at others. Her approach is defined by a strong sense of freedom in the way voice and instruments interact, with melody, rhythm and sound treated as equally important elements. At the crossroads of contemporary jazz, songwriting and experimentation, Marta Frigo creates an intimate and sensitive universe, carried by an expressive voice and a strong attention to sound.
