Ola, real name Olamide Polet, is a Belgian-Nigerian singer-songwriter based in Brussels. Shaped by his two cultural backgrounds and raised on music by artists such as The Beatles, John Mayer and Radiohead, he creates an intimate sound somewhere between folk, alternative pop and soul.

Originally pursuing a career as a professional basketball player, Ola moved to the United States during his teenage years. It was there that music became a refuge and eventually his true calling. A self-taught musician, he began seriously writing and making music in 2019, gaining attention through The Voice Belgique before signing with Warner Music in 2020.

In 2021, he released his debut EP, My Favourite Mistakes, followed by several singles including Blue and Where’s The Fun In That?. In 2025, he released his debut album, Reaper, a deeply personal and introspective project exploring love, loss and rebuilding. Written and composed entirely by Ola and largely self-produced, the album marked a new chapter in his artistic independence.

With a warm, melancholic voice and deeply personal songwriting, Ola creates music that is gentle, sincere and emotionally direct.
