Helena Casella

Helena Casella is a Belgian-Brazilian composer and singer who grew up in a very musical family. In her music, she explores various genres such as R&B, neo-soul, hip hop, modern jazz, and Brazilian rhythms, blending these influences in her own unique way. Through this, Helena expresses her thoughts and daydreams. Her music offers personal and relatable stories that resonate with the audience on both an emotional and intellectual level. Her vocal reflections showcase a mix of familiar rhythms and harmonies, combined with elegant, unexpected variations. She conveys this passionately with a soft yet intense voice.

In her music, she emphasizes organic, live instruments with minimal digital effects. "I start with piano and vocals, then add instruments, always with the idea of live performances in mind," she says. Whether performing solo or with a seven-piece band, Helena takes you on a journey that balances between the intimate and the ethereal. 

Her debut album Pit of Impressions was released in early March 2025 on the Belgian label W.E.R.F. Records. About her album, she says in the Belgian magazine HUMO: "It’s a true listening album, one that will only fully reveal itself to those who make time for it and actively and attentively listen."
