Did you always dream to develop your own synthesizers, effects and MIDI-processors and use them on the road without a computer? The Belgian micro-controller platform Axoloti makes this possible. Coined 'the Arduino for musicians', Axoloti is a programmable device with a great sound which is very affordable too. In this workshop, musician/producer/programmer Andrew Claes (STUFF.,Internal Sun, AAN/EOP) will guide you through the basics to create a classic virtual-analog polyphonic synthesizer. No previous experience is required, although some basic knowledge of synthesis will come in handy. All you need is a computer with a USB-port, running Windows or Mac OS. Any USB class compliant MIDI-controller is optional but certainly not necessary. More info on: www.axoloti.com.
