For this edition of Volta-lab mr. Bugel has purpose-designed a digital Delay circuit around the PT2399-delay chip, well known throughout the DIY synth- and guitar-effect world for its simple application.
The 4-knob delay has the typical Time, Repeat and Mix-controls. To add a hint of the extraordinary, a special 'MOD'-control will be implemented, so you can modify your delay time with a slow-wave oscillator.
During the first part of this workshop we'll solder all the parts to the PCB. The second session will involve housing the circuit in a Die-Cast Aluminium enclosure, testing and ---inevitably-- troubleshooting if it doesn't work like it should.
--Note-- For all you DIY-SYNTH freaks, I can supply Eurorack panels i n s t e a d o f Aluminium stompbox enclosures, but I would need to know beforehand ...
For this workshop, soldering skills are useful but no prerequisite. BYOS would be appreciated but again (...) is no prerequisite. BYOS => Bring Your Own Soldering-Iron
